Kit’s journey with math started at her family’s store, where she learned early on that math was a vital tool for handling money and solving life’s puzzles. She saw how numbers could be empowering, not intimidating. However, years later, she watched her own daughter, Jessica, struggle and lose confidence with the subject. Seeing Jessica’s frustration broke her heart and sparked a mission to find a better way for kids to learn.
To help Jessica, Kit turned math lessons into engaging, hands-on activities that felt more like play than work. She realized that when children are active and having fun, complex concepts suddenly click. By moving away from dry worksheets and focusing on real-world applications, Jessica didn't just understand math—she began to love it. Kit knew she had discovered something special that other families needed too.
In 2013, this passion led to the birth of Math Accelerator. Kit designed a unique curriculum where game-based learning and movement take center stage, helping children build lasting confidence.
